Who we are
A curator of Europe's finest fenestration — delivered factory-direct to North America and the GCC.
LuxHaus brings together the engineering of leading European window and door makers and matches each project to the right system, glazing and hardware for its climate, code and architectural intent.
Because we work directly with the factories, our clients receive European-grade performance without the layers of importers and distributors that typically separate the architect from the source.

Slim sightlines and large spans for contemporary architecture and curtain-wall expanses.
Aluprof · Aliplast
Schüco · Reynaers
02
Wood / Aluminum
Warm timber interiors with a weatherproof aluminum exterior shell — the architect's hybrid.
Unilux · Batimet
Kneer-Südfenster
03
uPVC & uPVC-Alu
Multi-chamber thermal efficiency at the best value — ideal for residential at scale.
Aluplast · Unilux
Kneer-Südfenster
04
Historic Wood
Period-accurate timber profiles for landmark and heritage restoration with modern glazing.
Unilux
Kneer-Südfenster
05
Steel & Minimalist
Ultra-slim structural profiles for minimalist glazing, partitions and statement entries.
Secco Sistemi
Cross-section renders are representative of each material system; exact profiles vary by manufacturer and series.
Why European engineering
Optimized for comfort physics — not for code minimums.
Where much of the North American market engineers to the minimum a code will accept, European systems treat the window as a single integrated system — frame, hardware, gaskets, glazing and installation detailing all carrying their share of the load.
Standard, not upcharge
Triple glazing, multi-point locking and compression seals are foundational to the European design — features that are often costly optional add-ons elsewhere.
The whole system
Multi-chamber frames, warm-edge spacers and thermally broken profiles work together. A single weak link — typically the frame or spacer — caps the whole window's performance.
Comfort you feel
Warmer interior glass surfaces, no cold-edge downdraft, and quieter rooms. The result is felt long before it's measured on a spec sheet.
Statements describe general design tendencies of European vs. North American fenestration markets and are not claims about any specific competing product. Many North American windows also achieve excellent performance when correctly specified and installed.
Performance at a glance
The numbers that matter.
Whole-window performance, verified — not center-of-glass marketing.

Comfortably below the 0.80 Passive House threshold — and to 0.45 W/m²K in subarctic systems.

ACOUSTIC REDUCTION

HVAC DOWNSIZING

GLAZING STANDARD
The baseline in every climate zone — never an upgrade.
25–30%
OF ENVELOPE HEAT LOSS
Through just 15–20% of its surface — windows carry disproportionate leverage.
Representative best-in-range figures across LuxHaus systems (Aluprof, Unilux, Schüco, Reynaers). EN ISO 10077 and the North American whole-window test method use different references and are not directly equivalent; 1 Btu/h·ft²·°F ≈ 5.68 W/m²K. Certified, project-specific data provided on request.
Thermal performance
Three U-values decide one outcome.
Ug
0.3–0.7
Glass only — triple to 0.5; quad glazing to 0.3.
Uf
0.45–0.6
Frame — multi-chamber, thermally broken.
Uw
< 0.8
Whole window — Passive House threshold; to 0.45 in subarctic systems.
The whole-window value — not the headline glass number — governs comfort and energy. It is only as good as its weakest element, which is why the frame and spacer matter as much as the glass.
17°C+
Warm interior glass surface — no cold-edge downdraft or condensation.
≤ 0.6
ACH₅₀ air-tightness target — multi-gasket compression sealing.
Values in W/m²K reflect typical EN-rated Passive House-class ranges; 1 Btu/h·ft²·°F ≈ 5.68 W/m²K. Not directly comparable to North American whole-window U-factors. Representative ranges, not product guarantees.

CONTEXT
Windows are roughly 15–20% of an envelope's surface but can account for an estimated 25–30% of its heat loss — disproportionate leverage on energy and comfort.
